On Adilabad a Farmer injured when a sloth bear attack him when he was working in his agricultural field on the boundary of the Nandigaon village located in Thalamadugu mandal on Saturday this incident happend. His condition was very critical.
Near the Echoda Forest department Divisional Officer Barnoba told that Mesram Laxman, a resident of Nandigaon village, he is suffered and injuries on his face & hands after he has attacked by the wild animal while he was plucking cotton on his field in the early morning this incident was happend.
Some neighbouring farmers was managed to save him when he raises the alarm. After the bear attack he was immediately shifted to Rajiv Gandhi institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad hospital. He was afterwards he rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad as by seeing his condition was worsened.
On the Laxman’s agriculture field is located on the forest border where the sloth bears usually come to extinguish their thirst & by search of food.
The Arkaya Forest Beat Officer Sattaiah & Gudihathnoor Forest Section main Officer Vidyananda Reddy visited the village & recorded the situation and the farmer’s statement.
The cost of the treatment would be taken by the forest department after the bills are submitted. We are advies the farmers & the rural folks about the movement of sloth bears.
